Most of the graphics I have used on this website and on my materials are from this great resource. There are lots of great clipart that you can purchase. Many of them are downloadable after you purchase them.
This is another great resource for graphics. Many of them are free.
I use this program a lot to create posters, games, and titles. It's an easy program to use and it comes with a lot of clipart.
I use this method in my music room. Whole Brain Teaching is a great method to use to get and keep students engaged in the lesson. The method uses lots of hand gestures which help students remember the concepts you are teaching. There are also great classroom management resources on this website.
I use a lot of her ideas for teaching rhythm. I love the Blue Jello syllables. They are easy to use and there is a picture for each syllable to help all students remember what they are. She teaches private piano, but a lot of her stuff will work with a large class. She also sells some of her materials on this website.
This is another approach to teaching children. They have a lot of books, DVD, and articles about how to manage your classroom. I love to use their book "Energizers!". This book has a lot of group activities to get students moving and having fun. I also use a few activities from "The Morning Meeting" book. They do have videos on their website to show you what some of their approaches are about and what some of the activities look like. These activities are designed for crew time or morning circles.
This is one of the best resources for music teachers. I highly recommend that all music teachers purchase the magazine subscription. Every magazine is loaded with lots of new music and teacher ideas. You can even get the magazine in digital format (downloadable after purchase). Every music teacher should also sign up on the mailing list. The mailing list is a place where teachers can go to ask questions and share ideas. This website also sells many of the great resources that we use in our music rooms. Check them out!
