New Music Games

My summer vacation is coming to end and it's time again to start thinking and planning for school.  These last couple of weeks I have been working on updating my website and creating new activities to use with my music centers.  The following activities are on the download page on my website.

A new activity that I will be using this year is "Froggy Beats". The download includes everything you need to make the game.  You will just need to purchase some clothespins. I plan on using this activity with 2nd -5th grade.  This actitivity is about knowing how many beats each note gets.  Then they have to add them up to create a music math equation.

Another new activity I will be trying out is Just Buggy.  You can also get this activity on the download page.  I will be using this activity with 1st-5th grade.  We will play it as a class during the first few weeks of class.  Then it will be used in my music centers. This activity will give students a chance to work on reading their rhythms.

You will also find my Music Sequence games on my download page.  They are adapted from the real Sequence card game.  One is for the band and orchestra instruments and the other one is for the non-pitched percussion instruments.

I have also included a copy of my music vocabulary cards that I use for my Word Wall.  I will be making some more and will post them on another day.

My next post will be about setting up my classroom.  I will be going back to school this Wednesday, July 25 to start working on my room.

Enjoy!

All the download files are PDF files and should open up in a PDF viewer. Then you need to save them to your computer. Usually when you move the mouse the save & print features appear at the bottom of the window.

This is a great read! Games have become more than just entertainment—they're a way to connect, learn, and even develop skills like problem-solving and teamwork. With the rise of open-world adventures, esports, and mobile gaming, it's fascinating to see how the industry continues to evolve. I’m curious—what’s your take on the impact of AI and VR in shaping the future of gaming? Looking forward to more of your insights!
